Speed limit

i think there are pros, and cons, to changing the speed limit.
pros:
people will SLOW DOWN! too many people zip around
there will probably be fewer accidents since people will have to go slower. they get more time to respond to other drivers.
cons:
it will take a while for people to adjust to the new speed limit, and in the process, many people will get speeding tickets. this could be considered a pro, if you work for the city because the city will benefit from the money paid by speeders.
traffic will be worse in that area. people will take longer to move around.
overall, i'd say "no", don't change the speed limit. people have enough things to worry about; speed limits constantly changing in areas where they know the speed limit shouldn't be one of them.

I don't think it would make much of a difference. People will still go 60 or possibly more. They should find a better way of solving the problem.

If u change the speed limit then people will have a big argument over whether or not to change it and people will speed anyway so for right now just slow down and put up signs saying things like "please obey the speed limit, its not our fault if you die" or "Slow down or Calm down"

I don't care about the spped limi. I go as fast as i want. I don't care what other people think. I can handle the speed i go(which happens to be around 70mph).

I think speed limits are gay, and we shouldnt have one! they r too slow now and i think that it wouldnt hurt to raise them 5-10 mph cuz i think we could manage driving at those speeds...wut do all yall think??

hey guys. im doing a school debate in english class and my topic is there shouldnt be a speed limit. do u guys have any ideas or thoughts on why there shouldnt be one that i could use in my debate?? it would really help a lot! thanks
