I personally did absolutely NO shopping at ky oaks mall during the Christmas season due to the lack of parking available. They either need to enlarge the parking area OR stop ticketing people during peak seasons because of parking in the grass. Either they want our business or they don't. They didn't have any of mine during Christmas because I didn't want a ticket due to their lack of parking space.

KY OAKS MALL

I think that the people in charge need to look at the condition of the mall in general. Stores are leaving. Since Christmas several stores have left. WHY? Could it be the stiff rules that apply to the stores as far as fines on parking, and spying on which store is not putting trash in the right dumpster. I do not go to the mall to shop, there is nothing to shop for unless you want shoes. There are no places to eat...except Chickfila (and the people there are great) As a matter of fact the main mall employees can learn a thing or two from Chickfila employees as far as friendliness and cleanliness. And as for the parking lot I agree with a previous comment made, the parking lot should be the least of their worries. If they would find a way to keep good stores in the mall, then most people wouldn't worry to much about the parking lot.

Okay to start off the mall is very poorly managed,Second the store's there are as dead as the mall walkers.Third of most things is the booths in the middle of the mall are just taking up space because if u wanted to buy something the employee are A:smoking B: Filling there mouth. C: Lost in the vast emptyness of the mall D: Just to dumb to work there,.Fourth the are only a few store that are any good. Fifth if there would be some security to remove the mall Rats and the rock says they look like rats and u can really tell.Last of all its PAducah what else can u expect..

Is it just me or are there no good stores in our mall? I hate that there are so many empty spots for potential stores. We want an Old Navy!!!!!! Also, the new tile in the middle of the mall looks totally stupid because it doesn't match the rest of the tile.

So is KY Oaks mall the ONLY MALL in the Northern America? Why are you people so worried about THE MALL for god sakes! You have waaay too much time on your hands to be bitching about the condition of a mall. I know for a fact there are a few malls in Nashville, Louisville, St.Louis...etc.
I understand the concern for safety, or entertainment, or lack thereof, but find something more constructive like taking your concerns to the mall head honcho or something! Just my two cents.

Ky. Oaks Mall

I have never noticed the parking lot but I did notice the rude treatment at the imformation center. The young lady working there did not even look up when a lady wanted to rent a stroller. I had taken some receipts to have them counted for a school of my choice and she did them incorrectly and was not even aware the lady left. When she looked up and saw the lady had gone she shrugged her shoulders and picked up a book and began to read it. I asked her name and I think she said it was B.B. This was on a busy day and she should not have been reading her novel on your time. Maybe then she would have time to be polite to the customers.

You people are so retarded. For one, we wouldn't need any more security patrolers if the stupid  people would act their own age. Another, if you don't like the stores in there, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE AND QUIT WASTIN YOUR TIME THERE!!! I hate it when people whine and nag because something isn't what they want it to be. One last thing, kids wouldn't get KIDNAPPED if the parents were half way descent parents and payed attention to their kids.

Small town, no income! I just moved from Nashville and am in culture shock!
Pretty soon, you will be hearing about raising taxes to renovate the mall.
Be happy, at least Paducah has a mall, unlike other 50k populated cities otehrwise may not have one. In other words, it is BETTER THAN NOTHING, wouldn't you agree?
I would like to see Old Navy, Express (I like Hot topic too), sure Bass Pro for the guys , Bed, Bath and Beyond, Charlotte Rousse. But of course these stores would never open dur to market conditions; not enough profit...people here don't make as much as people in large cities.
I am just happy there is a place within 1/2 an hour. If I want something that is not here, I'll simply drive to Opryland, make it an adventure, have fun!

I worked in the mall for 5 years thats 5 christmases and now thats the last place I want to be. The food court is a joke, the roof leaks the maine stores jcpennys sears dillards or hess or meis or whatever the name has changed to are in need of a complete employee overhall. Meis dillards of hess, you know what I'm trying to say, These stores are very racist. Lets not leave out Dawhares the"UK STORE OF STORES" Pick up a application and just read the fine print on the back. Tear it Down and rebuild. Leave out the over priced non money making stores and put some real stores in their as well as movie theater.

The ky oaks mall is not one of the best malls I've seen. It seems to be geared for only the teens or the rich people. I agree that the workers are not very polite, either. the prices are way too high.The only shop I like is carol's.

Reading some of these comments by idiots like you remind me why mall workers hate you stupid people. First, expand the parking where? Maybe tear down Office Max or bull doze the neighborhood? There is no available space. Second, prices at the store are the same as any other chain store in America. If its $5 dollars at the Sears in Paducah, its $5 dollars at the Sears in Atlanta. Third, most of the customers who come to the mall are idiots and feel special and important if they act rude to mall employees. Get a life!

The Mall needs some major changes in the business model for sure. Shopping there is a chore. The mall rats are a problem and the security is a joke. My Honda lost 1 good stereo sitting in there parking lot. Thank god for insurance. I now drive to Marion to shop at there mall and it's a big improvement over Paducah. Oh yea...Bass Pro shop in Ky. Oaks would be nice!!!!

I've read several posts on how rude mall employees are. In my store, we are definately polite, often too polite when trying to avoid conflicts with angry people. We work our butts off trying to pay for college and books. Customers aren't always chipper either. How about all of you kids try being polite when someone asks, "hey, can i get that for you?" or "need some help?" You don't have to have an attitude with employees, we're getting paid to try and help. Lets not forget the theiving mall rats. Don't steal, it makes us angry. Bryan is right for the most part. I will definitly agree that the parking lot needs some upkeep. Potholes are unacceptable.
