How I remember Paducah
By: Shawn Watson - 2005-02-15
When I was younger I lived in Paducah, KY in the mid 1980's. I used to live at 1025 Clay St. I remember riding my bike downtown and to the river going to the comic shop, game store, and candy store to spend some of my allowance. Then riding on over to the Executive Inn's arcade and blowing the rest of my allowance on Double Dragon and other arcade games. *sigh* Those were the days. How I miss Paducah sometimes.

Growing up in Paducah
By: Katie Woodling - 2005-04-28
I spent the first ten years of my life in Paducah...Growing up on the corner of Alabama St and S. 25th st. Sometimes when I look back I think of just how wonderful and peaceful small towns of the midwest really are. I remember the summer festival, hot air balloon races, and going downtown. I often look back on my childhood in Paducah and wish that just for a moment that I could go back.

Memories
By: CAarol - 2005-07-09
I lived in Paducah until my father got stationed in Atlanta, Ga. in 1970. We have been here ever since. My parents recently moved back and me and my husband went for a visit. My child loved being able to run free and it was so refreshing. Things have changed a lot!! My fondest memories were visiting my relatives and going to Noble Park in the summer. Now we are planning to move back in the near future Hopefully!!

Mayfield Ky
By: Rosana - 2006-01-18
I well be moving from California to Mayfield Ky from what I understand it is about 30 min. from Paducah and have been to Paducah a few years back. I'm looking forward to moving and raising my son in a good environment and the small town feeling. I'm sure it will be a great change from Southern California but the truth is I'm ready for a wonderful change and can only hope that when my kids look back at growing up they tell wonderful stories as I have read from you.. Thank you for sharing as I feel even better about moving..

I loved being a kid in paducah.
By: Timothy Parker - 2006-02-16
I left Paducah in 1986 to join the Army, and to travel. Looking back on my childhood growing up in Paducah was an experience that I wish my future kids could experience; But times have changed and that era will never be lived again. The 80's brought us mtv, breaking,(a cool way to dance)and weird hair styles and clothes. Those where the times when Paducah was to a great place to be, but you don't realize that until you live your life in other places, then you realize what a great place paducah is.

Paducah will always be home
By: Dee Dee Madison - 2006-05-02
I lived in Paducah for the first 10 years of my life and I am now 45. We moved to Northern Virginia when I was in 7th grade and it has never been home. I lived at 1220 North 13th Street when it was a neighborhood full of kids and everyone knew one another. We would walk to Dunns Drug Store for a soda and moonpie every chance we got. Those were the best days of my life. If anyone could take a picture of 1220 N. 13th street and send it to me, I would greatly appreciate it. I have not been back in years, but my heart is always there.
