By: Jane Gilliam - 2003-08-14
I was bred and born in Lbl and lived in Paducah most of my childhood and in the surrounding are until 1981 and moved away. I have enjoyed the pictures so much and I remember when nobel park was a real park with all the rides ,oh what fun it was to go there and later to take my children for rides on the carosel. how i wish futher generations of family could make wonderful memories like those and yes my heart is still there and "thanks for the memory"

I miss home...
By: MARY HART - 2006-03-04
Like Jane,
I too was born and raised in Paducah, and am a writer now and am capturing my memories of HOME...and have received some WONDERFUL reviews thus far.
Yes, some may see Paducah, as Country, but to me it is HOME and always will be.
I will NEVER forget the rides that used to be at Noble Park and when my mother would take us there, and we ended up at the swimming pool at Nobles Park.
Would be nice to see the pictures of the pool area..is it still there?
Keep the beautiful pictures coming...oh, by the way...get some BLACK FOLKS up in your pictures. When people visit Paducah, they think there is no AFRICAN AMERICAN community, but we all know that is not true.
GUIDANCE,
MARY Class of 1987-Paducah Tilghman High School
