Did anyone ever check out this slum motel thatI mentioned above? It should not be allowed to continue to operate. It is a health hazard and definitely leaves a poor impression of the Graves County area.
It was still in operation this summer (2002). |

Please check out this sub-standard motel. I wonder if it meets local and state health codes. We stayed there recently and it was slum district type housing. My wife refused to sleep in the room and slept in the car instead. It appeared that the linen had not been washed and the room smelled musty, moldy and mildewed. Paper peeling off the wall and broken, rusty bathroom tub and sink were observed. I would not recommend this motel to anyone even in emergency situations. The lady at the desk could not speak fluent English and did not understand my questions. I paid before I observed the room and this was a big mistake. She charged me $30 and this was a joke. As a visitor to Mayfield, I can't believe that this "dive" is allowed to exist. Please take this motel off your list of recommended ones after you have checked it out for yourself. |
