Michael is a bigot.

I would like to say who ever "Michael" is, he is a bigot. In one forum he said Gays and Lesbians should move to Alcatraz so they won't corrupt a decent society. What an ignorant Bigot. Michael, you must be twelve. Most people with great fears of gays are usually hiding something. I think Michael really likes ding-dongs. If someone disagrees with Michael he says they should move away. When someone bashes him in a forum, he name calls and stops responding. Stupid, arrogant, coward. Here are my questions for Michael. 1. What is your three favorite books? 2. What is the highest level of your education? 3. Who would Jesus Bomb? If you think Gays are sinful because of the Bible, then consider this. Leviticus, the second chapter of the good book, says homosexuality is a sin. It also says eating clams and shell fish, planting two crops in the same field and touching pig skin is a sin. If you take everything in the Old Testament Literaly, playing football is just as bad as playing with other mens weenies. Tell those football players to stop thier abominations Michael, you crusader you. It's good to know you are watching out for us, you smart and morally superior man.

They say ignorance is bliss so you must be very blissful...it says in the Bible "If a man should ever lay as he does with a woman, he will be forever banished and an identifiable mark forever placed upon him". A biggot? I think not, I just hate to see the way the world is going. My 3 favorite books (now it sounds like I'm in a Supreme Court confirmation hearing) were written by Rush Limbaugh...I'm in my mid 30's and I hold several college degrees and am working on my Juris Doctor in Law now. Being gay is called 'alternative' and 'deviate' for a reason, think about it.

I thought about it. Where does it say that in the Bible? In Leviticus it says if a man lay with another man it's an abomination. It also says the same about all the other B.S. Did Jesus ever say anything about it? No. Rush Limbaugh eh? Nice. I love to hear people rant about wellfare on the radio who used to be on food stamps. Maybe those 36 oxy cottin a day were clouding his memory. I have read two of his books, but I also try to read other publications that are not right wing fascist mouth piecies. Are gays the reason the world is turning upside down??? I could say the same for close minded people like you. In your circles, maybe being gay is called "deviate" as you say it, but some just call it gay. Why are you so close minded and scared? Scared and insecure? It's a shame you had to wait until your mid 30's to figure out your sexuality. I will be watching your dumb posts. I, like you, hate the way this world is going too, I just don't blame gays for it. Thats pretty lame Michael. As far as Rush goes, I thought you guys claim to be conservative? Why conservatives, want Big Brother to get involved in gay issues is more Liberal than conservative. Less Government. You base your life on fear. Fear of gays says a lot about you. Still waiting on who would Jesus bomb. You worried about gay mariage issues last election. Almost 2,000 dead American soldiers, New Orleans is devasted, gas is three a gallon, and China's trade will crush our economy in the next decade. It's good to know you spend your time on the important stuff. Thanks for protecting my family from deviate people.

This person who posted this originally has some serious anger issues. Being gay is not normal and if you are ashamed of it, control your rage and please don't bash those of us who enjoy taking our kids in public without seeing you and having to explain what two men and/or women are doing to each other. A gay 'encounter' is the ONE and ONLY single activity that can KILL, none of the other activities you mentioned can do that with one exposure. Please stop spreading disease and death to those of us who have done nothing to deserve it.

WOW, If I knew that being gay with just one exposure can kill, I would have been dead YEARS ago. Thanks for the warning. Let me know how things are in the 1890's. Also, shellfish CAN kill you with one exposure, if it is bad. How can spread disease and death to you if you are not gay. Oh, I get it, your talking about aids. You can get that from standing close to someone you know. I am not angry, you are. "Please stop spreading disease and death to those of us who have done nothing to deserve it." I don't deserve to listen to dumb people, but alas, here I am. BIGOT.

Your examples are far fetched and yes, AIDS is the ONE disease that will KILL with ONE exposure in a gay encounter, shellfish allergy CAN be stopped and cured, AIDS cannot, it is a curse put upon gays (it originated from 4 gays from San Fransisco visiting Africa), which is also mentioned in the good book. If you must be gay, more power to you, be happy and blessed be, but please don't expose any innocent people and also please do not come back with something stupid.

It does not say in the Bible that aids will be brought from 4 gays in San Fransisco visiting Africa. That is just dumb.

1st and foremost,there are many theories on the origination of AIDS, but 4 guys from S.F. visiting Africa is NOT one of them!...WAIT...I'm laughing so hard again, I can't type........Whew, O.K.
2nd..Do you know the fastest growing group of people contracting HIV today?? No, I didn't think so. SURPRISE, it happens to be HETEROSEXUAL women. Don't believe me?? Go look it up at the library. Why do you think so many villages in Africa have been left desolate?? It's not because of homosexual relationships, it stems from the hetero community.That's why there are SO many orphans in Africa.
And to "Someone"...what the hell have you seen in public, that you would make such a statement....."please don't bash those of us who enjoy taking our kids in public without seeing you and having to explain what two men and/or women are doing to each other." I HAVE seen heterosexuals making out in public, but I have yet to see a gay or lesbian couple do the same. Where are YOU taking your kids???????

It's time for me to weigh in...Aids is being spread through the hetro-sexual community, true...but...the origins were homosexuals, it seems as it is/was spread by bi-sexuals to unknowing partners and that spawned this curse onto the regular majority.

Here are some facts for you.....
The question of where the 'epidemic' officially first developed has always been controversial...... Some have suggested that it is dangerous to even try to find out, as AIDS has frequently been blamed on an innocent person or group of individuals in the past.
It is likely that Africa was indeed the continent where the transfer of HIV to humans first occurred........Who exactly spread the virus from Africa , to America and beyond remains a mystery....
Both national and international travel undoubtedly had a major role in the initial spread of HIV........The process of transmission in a global pandemic is simply too complex to blame on any one group or individual....
In the early stages of the epidemic, doctors were unaware of how easily HIV could be spread and blood donations remained unscreened. This blood was then sent worldwide, and unfortunately most people who received infected donations went on to become HIV positive themselves......
The 1970s saw an increase in the availability of heroin following the Vietnam War and other conflicts in the Middle East , which helped stimulate a growth in intravenous drug use. This increased availability and together with the development of disposable plastic syringes and the establishment of 'shooting galleries' where people could buy drugs and rent equipment, provided another route through which the virus could be passed on.......
We do not know how many people developed AIDS in the 1970s, or indeed in the years before..... Neither do we know, and we probably never will know,where the AIDS virus HIV originated.....
By 1980, HIV had spread to at least FIVE continents (North America, South America, Europe, Africa and Australia). During this period, spread was unchecked by awareness or any preventive action and approximately 100,000-300,000 persons may have been infected."
Yes, the homosexual community in S.F. and NY were some of the 1st to report symptoms here IN THE U.S., but other groups ALL OVER THE WORLD were also being infected by a tainted blood supply, sexual contact, (homosexual and heterosexual)and other types of high risk behavior.....Hemophiliacs, IV users and others.
So, there you go a quick lesson on AIDS. Go check it out for yourself, if you don't believe me. These are not my ideas, they were taken from science and medical journals.
Hope it helped to clear up some misconceptions some may have regarding this disease.

Right on, Gay. And Unbelievable. That exerpt seemed to shut them up. I think religious people get out of hand sometimes and they probably mean well at first, but it surely doesn't end up that way. They ultimately make themselves look pretty foolish and judgmental. So to all you gay hating Christians: Forget about gays, put your dentures back in, brush the dust off your white hoods and go start lynching coloreds again.

you've got to be kidding me! What is wrong with you people? Are there still that many ignorant people in the world?? Cheers to unbelievable for portraying some common sense on the subject, but really gay and aids have nothing to do with each other. The only reason some uneducated people still relate the two is because when aids was first discovered in the U.S. it was first called GRIDS(gay related immmunodeficiency syndrome) because it was first diagnosed and spread by gay men because noone knew about it and at the time they didn't know there was a need for protection.Why would two men need birth control before aids?? And it was initially spread by a group of male "whores" for lack of a better term. Since that time most gay people have better sense than to put themselves at risk, let alone the fact that that as the world has evolved and become more accepting two men can have normal relationships and show affection for each other in most any setting instead of having quick annonymous sex in high risk placed such as book stores and bathhouses. Now, although still present in all groups it is mostly seen in groups of heterosexual women especially african americans according to most studies.
Now will you please drop the aids overviews and get back to the underlying subject, hate and discrimination. I'm sure that Michael is a biggot, but you know what?--Thou shalt not judge, unless your'e prepared to be judged yourself by the only judge that really matters!! All of you who claim to be good christians and run around preaching about how other people conduct their lives make me sick. Why don't you live and let live and worry about your own salvation?? And in the meantime if your children see two men or two women holding hands in public why not try teaching them that it's better to love than hate, and that God loves and accepts all his children. Only then wil this world begin to be a better place for all of us.

I'd like to add that I saw Michael's orginal post here on the Gay and Lesbian discussion thread, and to be honest, I thought it was a joke: someone pretending to be a stupid ignorant bigot.
I am shocked that Michael is for real.
What about the majority of human beings on this planet that do not follow Christian religions? Personally, as part of that majority, I really have NO interest in what an ancient, mistranslated source said about the social codes OF THE TIME. Way before Christianity's repressive onslaught, and after, same sex bonds were common and celebrated. For example, Alexander the Great had male lovers.
Same sex love, attraction, and sensuality have existed as long as humans have been on this earth.
HIV transmission is preventable. And, yes, sadly, most new cases are heterosexual women infected by their cheatin'(with prostitutes, etc.) or IV-drug-using or husbands.
