RE: Michael....Cindy Sheehan
By: Disgruntled - 9/8/05 (5:54 PM)
Why is Cindy Sheehan a commie, Michael?? Because she is speaking out against a war we should not even be fighting ?? Because we are watching YOUNG men and women die for what???? OIL???? Oh, I forgot, it's because Iraq had weapons of mass destruction..... NOT !!!!! Yeah, Saddam was a bad guy, but he's not the one we should have been looking for...Has everyone forgotten it was Osama Bin Laden from AFGHANISTAN that was in on the 9-11 terror attack ??!!??? And now that we have experienced a major natural disaster, all of our men and women are over in Iraq and we are left defenseless, thanks to Bush !!!
Cindy Sheehan has every right to voice disdain for Bush...her son died for NOTHING !!!!!!

Her son died for AMERICA and if you want to say AMERICA is nothing, then you are as far a left wing loon and she and Hanoi Jane Fonda are!

RE: Cindy Sheehan

Many would be surprised to hear that Cindy's son RE-ENLISTED. He loved what he did and he reenlisted even though he knew they were going to war. She is making a mockery of what her son fought for.

Right, plus ALL her talk this weekend was anti Bush & anti Jew, so that's her message in a bottle, loony left wing lunacy!

"Her son died for AMERICA and if you want to say AMERICA is nothing, then you are as far a left wing loon and she and Hanoi Jane Fonda are!" The writer you are talking too did not say America is nothing, he said the cause her son died for was nothing. Iraq had nothing to do with the saftey of America or 9/11.
"Many would be surprised to hear that Cindy's son RE-ENLISTED. He loved what he did and he reenlisted even though he knew they were going to war. She is making a mockery of what her son fought for." How do you know anything about her son. Her son DID NOT re-enlist, he joined because he wanted to be a chaplin. He never wanted to go to war in Iraq.
" Right, plus ALL her talk this weekend was anti Bush & anti Jew, so that's her message in a bottle, loony left wing lunacy!" Anti-Bush maybe, but were was the anti-semitism? If it's that story about her saying her son died for Isreal, she has denied saying that.
"Cindy Sheehan is an idiot just like her best bud Hanoi Jane Fonda so there you go" The only way you can attack her message is her as a person. I could personally attack anyone the same way. Nice reference to something 20 years ago, "Jane Fonda" very rellevant! give me a break.
This is the question. What is the noble cause her son and 1,921 American Soldiers died for. First it was weapons of mass destruction. Then we had to liberate Iraq. Now Bush said we have to protect the oil reserves from the "terrorists". You have to call her Jane Fonda in every post, because the truth is their is NO answer to what the noble cause is. You are unable to answer it. If it makes you feel better to call anyone with dissent Jane Fonda, the fine, live in your bubble. Over 200 billion and 1,921 American soldiers killed is reason for concern.

No, no, Jane Fonda has re-emerged and has been to TX beside Sheehan, please get your facts straight...debate is American but plz make it honest.

RE: Cindy Sheehan
By: Lance - 9/28/05 (10:01 PM)
Honest???? I just corrected three lies in this forum. As far as Jane Fonda, (here we go again) Jane Fonda has no relevance to Sheehan. She may be a supporter, but so am I, and millions of other people. Instead of yammering about Jane Fonda, why do you disagree with sheehan. Thats what you should be talking about. I can respect a new point of view, but not name calling to show your politics. My point, Jane Fonda was important 20 years ago, it has nothing to do with Iraq, or the protests against a war much more immoral than Vietnam.

 |
 |
RE: Cindy Sheehan
By: Me - 9/29/05 (6:15 PM)
I mentioned Fonda because as I stated, she DID appear WITH Sheehan in protest of the war, and we all know what kind of left wing nut job she is and how the lies of her & john kerry back then lead to many of our soldiers being tortured and killed. I myself was in the 1st gulf war and we had every right to go back into Iraq because Saddam signed the cease fire with US, so to call liberating millions of people, getting rid of one of the worst tyrants ever, putting a stop to the wmd programs (what they didn't ship out to other countried which has been documented) immoral, then your head is in the sand too!!!

RE: Cindy Sheehan

putting a stop to the wmd programs (what they didn't ship out to other countried which has been documented)
WHAT WEAPONS after '98??????
As far as Saddam being the one of the worst tyrants ever, that didn't stop us from giving him over 2 billion in the '80s and supporting Chilean Dictator Pinochet for the last 10 years. We are not liberating. Saddam was an evil tyrant. Glad we kicked his ass. This world has 193 countries, most with evil in power. I suppose lets fight them all. If the United States Government told the people before the invasion of Iraq we were doing so to liberate millions of people, that would be one thing. Instead this corporate controlled gov. used fear to scare it's people into war. (which has been documented as well.) I agree WMD are scary, I hear they have them in N. Korea. MUCH BIGGER threat than Iraq ever could have been. I'm not a peacenick all the time, I just know lies when I see them. If Iraq did ship those WMD out of the country, where are they? Would you agree it would be better if we knew where they were? Wars based on lies and oil can never be won. America is not the world police.

RE: Cindy Sheehan

If John Kerry and Jane Fonda helped soldiers get killed, didn't Ronald Reagan Help soldiers get killed giving Saddam 3 billion to build his army against Iran in the '80s???? Looks like the blood is on the rights hands as well.

RE: Cindy Sheehan
By: Lance - 9/29/05 (7:10 PM)
One more thing, John Kerry DID help soldiers being killed. He voted along with Repub. and Dems. that we should support Saddam as well as the "Freedom Fighters" in Afganistan. in the 80s aka OSAMA! I can be bipartison, can you?

Ok, when I see statements from the liberal talking points like 'the war is for oil' then I know it's time to stop trying to get you to see anything because 'your mind is made up so I won't confuse you with the facts'.

If you can not answer my quetions that is o.k. just say so. Your mind seems just as made up as mine. As far as "Liberal" Talking Points, you stated about 4 talking points from the FAR right. Even most republicans have expressed concerns over this war. What facts are you looking at. I see tons of lies. I just said I can be Bipartison. I blame Democrats for some of the mess we are in. This war is for oil, prove me wrong, and answer my questions, this is a forum right?

If we went there to take over their oil, gas wouldn't be $2.79 a gallon, it'd be more like $1.39 like it was a year ago, come on, make sense!

 |
RE: Cindy Sheehan
By: Lance - 9/29/05 (8:14 PM)
Gas would not, because we have an oil man in the white house, not to mention a sectratery of state who has an oil tanker named after her.

RE: Cindy Sheehan
By: Lance - 9/29/05 (8:27 PM)
I will say the premise of liberating people is something to consider. Contrary to my fellow liberals, some muslim countries hate us because we are LESS involved in taking out evil regimes. My biggest problem is this administration has dropped the ball in this war. Bremer, Wolfowitz, Rummie, all said we would be showered with candy and flowers. NO EXIT STRATEGY. Daddy Bush handled the first Gulf war with brilliant strategy. Wether we should have marched into Bagdad sooner, I will leave in the open. I'm sure Clinton and Sr. Bush could Have done so much more to secure our country than what they did. I won't argue with that.

Just an aside. As a disinterested third party, I have read all the above posts. Score: Lance and the Liberals: 94 --- Michael and Me: 6
HEY LOOKIE THERE! Michael and Me! That is the name of the first movie of the most liberal of all... Michael Moore!!! Seems our far-right far-out far-lemmings-to-the-sea friends have stumbled into something which PROVES they are closet liberals*
*before you say I can't PROVE that they are, PROVE that there were WMD's in Iraq after 1998... both premises can be proved equally as well, I believe.

RE: Cindy Sheehan
By: Disgruntled - 10/4/05 (2:00 AM)
Really glad to see people actually debating this subject..errr..kind of.....Lance gives you all kinds of information and is able to back up his/her statements intelligently but,"Me", and others just rant on about how horrible liberals are. Say something of substance, "Me" and others. Don't just berate those that do not agree with you, defend your statements. Apparently, all you are capable of is name calling.
By the way, I truly believe that if Kerry had won, or had the presidency been handed to him by the Supreme Court, like W.,we would not be in Iraq.We would be in Afghanistan, where we should have been until we brought Osama to justice. At least Kerry DID serve his country, unlike W. that used his status to avoid defending our country. He wouldn't go and support our country, but he expects other Americans to put their lives on the line. Little hypocritical, don't ya think??
Of course not, you would rather rant and rave about Fonda and Sheehan than actually face the truth that our President LIED to us.There were no WMD and you and noone else can prove there were any there at all. But what we CAN prove, is at the exact same time we invaded Iraq, North Korea DID have WMD. Why didn't we go after them?? Hmmmmmmmmm....NOT the 2nd largest oil reserve in the world????...Hmmmmmm. Just keep supporting the "oil baron" Bush family and cronies and let's just watch and see what it gets you and everyone else.. The poor are getting poorer and the rich are getting richer. So, I'm guessing you must be extremely wealthy, although your grammar and writing do not reflect that type of social position.
Also, doesn't it bother you that before Bush came into office that we did not have a national debt?? We actually had a SURPLUS!!!! WOW!! I guess you are not impressed by that...you and everyone else should be. Now where are we?? TRILLIONS IN DEBT..Thank you, Mr. Bush !!!
I support our troops, I just don't support this farce of a war !!!!

Informed,
You really believe trickle down economics decreased our national debt and left us with a surplus??? If you do, then you really are misinformed. All that accomplished, yet again, was to make the rich, richer and the poor, poorer.
Perhaps if Reagan and Bush were screwing their aides, like 'Slick Willy," and other past Prsidents, then they wouldn't have had time to screw lower and middle class Americans.

I agree, RR's plan worked just like W's worked and all have enjoyed the cuts (even those who didn't pay tax to begin with) and that's why the GDP and econimic state of the US is higher than i's been for decades right now. Now, please don't come on here & tell me the sun isn't shining when I look out the window & see it!

To Informed,
Do you not realize that practically every president has had either affairs (JFK) or mistresses (Roosevelt,etc.). Do you really think Bill Clinton was the first ever president to commit adultery?? If you do, you really are ignorant.
And I don't know where you live, "Me", but how many companies have to claim bankruptcy, how many people have to lose their jobs before you realize what our government has done to us.
Keep your head in the sand. Lie to yourself, if that makes you feel better.
I guess you people believe the Iran Contra affair never happened. That wasn't a disgrace??? Or ol W. puttin so much coke up his nose it looked like he was stuck in a blizzard?????? I could go on and on...Because I can back up my position with facts........ all you guys can do is make comments on how disgraceful something is or how our economic state is the best its been in decades (back that up).
Yea, I remember paying $.89 a gallon for gas and the unemployment rate being the lowest in DECADES and having a the 1st surplus in the national treasury EVER under Clinton. Guess you all don't remember that, right??? I can't even continue to have a debate with you all because you are incapable of an actual debate. You all are so ignorant you deserve someone like george bush as YOUR president, he certainly is NOT mine !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Good by and good riddance.

Why in the world should I leave the country??? Because I voiced my opinion?? Remember free speech?? Just because I don't agree with or like the way our country is being run doesn't make me any less American than you. It just proves I have a brain and I use it, unlike some other people that agree with everything the government dishes out without questioning it.

I find it most interesting that conservatives who are supposedly Christians are the most blood thirsty, ("Thou shalt not kill") anti welfare, (Jesus fed the poor) anti socialized healthcare, (Jesus cured the sick....for free). Not to mention Jesus' general dislike for rich people whom the conservitive love to give tax breaks and corporate welfare. I know I went a little off subject but this has been bothering me for a while.

sounds like anyone with an opinion is not welcome in America according to you, "me". Oh wait, what was that line in that song.... Oh yeah, "Land of the Free"
This country was founded by people who spoke out against the establishment. Thomas Jefferson called for an overthrow of the government every 10 years to keep government officials in check. Dissent is patriotic; blindly agreeing with whatever your particular party says, or what happens to come out of Dubbya's mouth is called being a sheep.
p.s. nobody answered my question about how most conservatives can call themselves Christians?

Cindy was slamming bush before here son was killed. After his death, Cindy figured out a way to use his death (exploit)to better her cause. And once she started getting exposure from the media, the anti war folks made her their "poster child". She gave up her family, (recently divorced, other son) and has lost (given up) what was really most important in her life. No one is paying attn. to her now. really sad. Mike Jones.

Evolution2Revolution......
Hey, thanks for the kind words. At least you can carry on an intelligent debate.....
All others just want to repeat over and over..."Leave the country if you don't like it."..... They cannot present an iota of fact regarding history, the economy, politics or otherwise, to back up their comments........So, kudos to you for your wise words.
