is monroe street by fountain park a good place to live?

i was wondering if monroe street is a good place to live becuase i might move there. i seen a house for sale in the paper on that street.

That is a nice area with alot of older houses. Soem of those houses can be very nice with a little work. Paducah is a very nice place to live. Residents are working hard to ensure that Paducah's crime rate stays low and places are built up.

I would say it is a mix of black and white. One block may have more of the other, but could change by the block or street. In my experience, people get along well in that part of the town.

well the house i saw an add for was right by fountain circle or lang park which ever one. do you know about that block. i want to know how my neighbors would be before i moved there. i have heard some negative things about the set. is this close to the "set" or do you not know? well thanks for your information

The set is all the way down on 7th St. I know some white families that live on that block, and they are just fine to have as neighbors. I would suggest just driving by on a pretty afternoon and see what people are doing. If there are kids playing around, people gardening in their yards, I would imgine you wouldnt have any trouble deciding what kind of neighbohood it is.

corey you have been really helpful if this weekend is nice then i will have to do that. i just dont want my kids to be in any danger. how old are you? is tilghman a good school?

I dont really know much about Tilghman as a school. I would check out the Board of Education's web site. They should have the hard numbers about their schools.
