Places to go to dates in Paducah.
By: Brian - 3/6/05 (8:21 PM)
I am not familiar with Paducah or its surrounding area except as a vacation spot in summer. But it appears as though I will be spending alot more time in the fine city. I just found out today how completely closed off the city is on Sunday...I was wondering if anyone had recommendations for places to go on a date, or just cool places in general.
Today I was limited to exploring the Kentucky Oaks Mall. I am looking forward to a show I have tickets to at the 4 rivers theater in April, and when the weather is a bit nicer I intend to visit the floodwall murals and walk along the river some.
But from everything I can tell the town really doesn't open up till later in the spring. It looks like dinner and downtown really come alive on saturday nights during the season, but I was looking for something to do now. Any suggestions on where I should take my date? As she is from the Paducah area all the normal things she has done previously. I would love to surprise her.
Maybe a nice crafting session where a class learned to make pottery, or taking a cooking class together. Nature walks are always nice and welcome if weather permits.

did the mall, and went out to dinner at Cynthias's. It was incredibly good food, but very very loud.
Have tickets to david copperfield april 24th at the center, but I can't think of much else to do.

In addition to catching the Downtown Saturday night, the Arts Ditrict does late night showings every Second Saturday of the month, open till 9pm. Also open on Sundays is Loaf, a great little deli located in Lowertown on Madison and 4th street. Another local eatery open Sundays is tribeccabut they don't open till 1 pm on Sunday.
