 Religous Diversity & Acceptance
 By: Faeries - 3/2/05 (10:35 PM)

I'm seriously considering moving to Paducah. I'm interested in hearing whether this area is open and accepting to people of relgions other than Catholic and Protestant.
Thanks & Blessings

Sure you can come on over, we will accept you at any of our local churches. We love all people, and know that Jesus wants us to accept you just as you are. I know this because he accepted and still accepts everyone to come and join him, listen to him, and let him into your heart.
WE WILL NOT TURN YOU AWAY.

Depends on what you mean, Are you talking about pagan paths? Are you talking about Gay life style?
Remember this IS "The Bible Belt" area. People will accept you but later try and change you to THEIR way of thinking! "Bible Fundamentalism" is a nice way of putting it. I personally got more respect from the Catholic's!

I was catholic and when I lived in Paducah I caught hell about it. Very strong anti-catholic sentiment in paducah and I believe you\'re going to find that unless you are a christian fundamentalist the people there (though by no means everyone)will look upon you with scorn and derision.
