Skateboarders
By: Old School Skateboar - 1/24/05 (12:55 PM)
I just wanted to start a forum about Old School Skateboarders to see if and how many of us there still are out there in Paducah. I started skating when I was about 10, and even though I am now in my 30's, I still love it to this day. I dont get to skate as much as I did when I was a kid, but I still get the board out and skate when I have a chance. I think that Paducah getting a Skate Park is a great thing. I hope all the Old Schoolers get out when they have a chance and show the younger skaters that this is a passion that older guys still have. I would like to see a park open up in Lone Oak, but a drive down to Noble Park wont be too bad of one. I see alot of younger guys out in Lone Oak getting pushed away from places to skate because business owners dont like them in their parking lots. With as many businesses that Lone Oak has, it seems that they could join together and donate enough money to get one in Lone Oak. Anybody else have any thoughts on this?
