Help rid our airwaves of Howard Stern
By: Stop Howard Stern! - 4/2/04 (3:17 PM)
He is a disgusting person that has no right to be on the radio. Our children could be listening to him. Please support the fight and visit this new page and make a contribution. You can donate money or help with website info.
Thank you and God Bless.
Stop

He is disgusting and rude and perverted. He however has a right to air his material. As far as "our children" are concerned, is it not our job as parents to moniter what our children are listening to? If proper values are instilled in our children, they will have no desire to listen to Howard. That being said, as adults in this great country, we have the right to listen to him, or if we prefer, change stations!
Thank you and GOD BLESS THE USA

R.A.L. is right on.
To the first 2 posters, how many more rights do you want taken away from everyone? Turn the channel, or turn it off. You have a choice to listen or not listen. It is no-one's job to raise your kids except you.

It is our job to raise our children. I will not argue with that. How many people really understand the developing brain? How many parents don't have the skills to guide a fresh, developing child? Who among us knows the long term effects shows like this will have on our society? You hide behind the first amendment, telling parents who don't have a clue to turn it off is absurd and an just an excuse to continue to avoid responsibility. As it's been stated over and over again, It Takes A Village To Raise a Child. I'd like to add "not a village idiot". Raise them right you say....kids are curious by nature, not all kids are born with an IQ above that of a turnip...what about them? It's likely that their parents are lower functioning too....have you stepped foot inside a classroom lately? Have you seen what teachers have to deal with? The village had better take responsibility because believe me It's not pretty.

To SAC
Why are you so afraid that your kids are going to hear dirty little words? They are going to hear them sooner or later. Deal with it. Change the channel.

I agree with R.A.L. If you cannot responsibly raise your children, why must the rest of us suffer. I'm tired of getting into my $35,000 truck and having to look at the child safety seat warning every time I use my sun visor. The irresponsibility of parents has even ruined things as simple as lighters, medicine bottles, the back-seat windows in your car, and television. Do you know that in the rest of the Western world, network TV shows nudity after 10:00 PM? They do, but here in America, nobody wants to actually raise their child any more and ask the rest of us idiots in the village to suffer for their inadequacies. Isn't it enough that those of us that made the choice to not have children still have to pay taxes for the breeders to send their children to school? No, becuase then you get a tax deduction for having children.
Just my $.02
