If you are interested in volunteering at the Rape Crisis Center please call 534-4422. Volunteers are the backbone of our agency.

Hi,

MY name is Rachel Gearhart and I'm a senior psychology major at Coe College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. I'm from Paducah, and graduated from Lone Oak in 2000.

I have been accepted into the MSW program Washington University in St. Louis and plan to start there in the fall. Currently, I volunteer at least one shift (4 hrs) a week on a local crisis hotline (all crises) called Foundation 2. I went through a rigorous training that lasted nearly 8 weeks and had to pass a written exam in order to be able to volunteer on the crisis line.

At this point, I plan to be in Paducah for the summer, and would be interested in volunteering, if able.

I'd love to hear more information on how to get started volunteering at the Rape Crisis Center!
