The Seamen's Church Institute (SCI) is North America's largest and most comprehensive mariners' service agency, promoting safety, dignity, and improved working and living conditions for millions of men and women serving in the maritime workplace. Founded in 1834, the Institute is a voluntary, ecumenical agency affiliated with the Episcopal Church

The Seamen’s Church Institute cares for the personal, professional, and spiritual needs of mariners around the world. Founded in 1834, it is the largest, most comprehensive mariner’s service agency in North America.

SCI maintains a staff of professional chaplains with interfaith and cross-cultural backgrounds. Chaplains and volunteers assist thousands each year, extending a hand of friendship, hospitality, and pastoral care.

  • On March 27, 1983 two independent Baptist churches merged to form Rickman Road Missionary Baptist Church. As a result of the union of Friendship Baptist Church, which began in March 1972 under the leadership of Rev. Bob Fraser, and West Paducah Missionary Baptist Church, which began April 13, 1968 under the leadership of Rev. W.A. McCormick, the current church sprang into existence.

  • Natural Healing Institute was established in May, 2003. Formerly Natural Health Institute of Western Kentucky, its co-founder and director, Lisa Bozarth, then assumed full ownership and renamed the school. Additionally, Bozarth increased the educational program from a 500 hour program to a 600 hour program.
