Our Mission Statement:
To establish a more efficient integrated delivery system for the management of eye care, and to provide cost efficient and superior quality eye care in the managed care environment. With this in mind, we have created an integrated eye care network of independent practitioners. Independent eye care practices provide superior quality care and materials, but in the past have not had a vehicle to interface with employer groups. Although individually we were not able to negotiate with the large insurance companies, together we hope we can direct insurance companies in a way that will be more beneficial to our patients, and still keep costs affordable.
Our team of providers, consisting of optometrists and ophthalmologists, has over 200 years of combined experience. We have the ability to treat any and all related problems including vision health exams, glasses, contact lenses, low vision exams, refractive surgery, cataract surgery, laser surgeries, glaucoma treatment, retinal disorders, and any other ocular disease of trauma.
For over thirty years, The Ophthalmology Group has been in the same location providing state-of-the-art medical and surgical treatment of eye diseases. We have continuously expanded to meet the needs of our patients. Tens of thousands of cataract surgeries have been performed by our Ophthalmologists. We also treat glaucoma, diabetic eye diseases, and children's eye disease.
From designer eyeglasses to specialized eye surgery the Ophthalmology Group provides total eye care for the people of Western Kentucky and Southern Illinois.
