Stitched Kentucky Premiere Screenings Starts From April 26, 2011

Stitched follows three art quilters, Caryl Bryer Fallert, Hollis Chatelain and Randall Cook, for one year, as they compete for some of the quilting world’s top prizes and attend the biggest quilt shows. Along the way, these artists juggle busy careers and challenges as they race to finish their quilts to enter in these shows. Houston-based Picturesmith Productions taped part of this movie in Paducah in 2010.

  • Gerald Roy, Nationally-known appraiser of Warner, New Hampshire, will offer professional assessments of new and old quilts. Each appraisal consists of a description of the quilt in terms of pattern, fabrics, techniques, quality of construction, condition, confirmation of information known by the current owner with replacement value and an approximate date of quilt.

  • Outdoor festival in the heart of the LowerTown Arts District showcases Paducah as a cultural center for the arts and artists. More than 50 visiting artists, open studios and galleries and regional food specialties. Ongoing theater from balconies and sidewalks and live music on three stages.
