Jenny Wiley Theatre is Kentucky’s only professional theatre east of I-75, offering productions all year long at both the Jenny Wiley amphitheater, located within the Jenny Wiley State Resort Park, and the nearby Mountain Arts Center in Prestonsburg. In the summer of 1965, a small group of players from Paintsville, Kentucky, presented South Pacific - Jenny Wiley Theatre's first musical. Although the state park amphitheatre was constructed with the intent of presenting historical dramas of the Big Sandy region (and in particular, Jenny Wiley's legend), that first play proved to be prophetic, for it was in musical repertory that Jenny Wiley Theatre found its destiny. Since that first season of performances, Jenny Wiley Theatre has presented countless productions, holding to the standards of the best summer stock theatres, while expanding their mission to include year round productions and educational tours.
Music Theatre Louisville, the resident musical theatre company at Iroquois Amphitheater, is dedicated to presenting high quality, diverse and affordable entertainment. Now in its 24th year, MTL produces a summer season consisting of musicals selected from the traditional Broadway style. Three musical theatre camps are open to the public in the fall, spring and summer.
Owensboro Dance Theatre has provided professional dance performances to the Tri-State area for 25 years. ODT produces two main stage productions each season performed at River Park Center in downtown Owensboro. A unique version of the holiday classic, “The Nutcracker”, is presented each December, plus they have an “In Concert” performance in March.
An outdoor live 500 seat theatre in the scenic rural community of Pine Knob. They do five different productions. “Dock Brown-Legend of an Outlaw”, “Down In Hoodoo Holler”, “At The Hop 50s-60s Musical”, “LARD”, “Daddy Took The T-Bird Away” from June to September.

Owensboro’s community theatre for over 40 years. TWO produces five mainstage productions each season, plus two youth productions in the summer and a Christmas show in December. Housed in the renovated historic Trinity Church built in 1875.
