The Symphony at WKU has been performing for enthusiastic audiences since 1908. Most recently, the Orchestra performs five symphonic concerts which include Masterworks, Pops, and Family concerts. In 2003, The Symphony at WKU began presenting professional chamber ensembles in its Chamber Series to make available more diverse opportunities for live classical music performances in our community.

The BGWSO is a 100 year old community symphony orchestra that performs five Symphony Series concerts per season and three Chamber Music ensemble performances each year.

The mission of The Symphony at WKU is to advance music literacy through performances and educational programs, to provide a symphony orchestra of the highest quality, and to be a focus for musical excellence.
