The Badgett Playhouse is home to Variety! Music, Memories & More. This two hour Branson-style musical revue celebrates American music from the 1940’s to current and includes singers, dancers and a live band. From swing to Motown to country - this show has something for everyone.
In addition to the theatrical, it will also be used for conventions, private rentals for weddings and receptions, and seminars for both business and educational applications.
The Playhouse is a 6,000 square foot facility located on JH O’Bryan in Grand Rivers behind the existing Welcome Center. It will have a brand-new state of the art sound and lighting system (including moving light fixtures). The sound system is being installed by Brett Jarvis of Childress Music, a company located near Branson, MO. The lighting is being installed and designed by Adam Stover, the former lighting director for the Calvin Gilmore Carolina Opry in Myrtle Beach, SC. The auditorium is acoustically designed for the highest in sound and show quality. The facility will be outfitted with new curtains and stage rigging from Rose Brand, a leader in its industry with offices in Los Angeles and New York.
The 285 seat Playhouse is designed as a multi-use facility. The auditorium structure is designed with seven ten-foot plateaus with three rows of seating on each.
The Kentucky Opry is a good, clean family fun, country music, variety and comedy show. The Show is modeled after shows in Branson, MO and Pigeon Forge, TN. Twelve cast members of the Kentucky Opry will keep your "toes-a-tappin" and your sides hurting from laughter. Great Oldies, New Country Music and Comedy makes an evening at the Kentucky Opry a memory you'll treasure for years to come.
The Blue Grass Entertainment & Exposition Complex is a nine acres, three building complex. The Music Man Sound Stage is in Blue Grass West and features the Harold Hutchins Country Music Show every Friday night and a 50’s 60’s show Saturday nights.
