The Paducah Area Chamber of Commerce unveiled their "Buy Local" campaign at the May 19 Board of Directors meeting.
"Our national economy is stressed and our local business community is feeling the strain. Everyone wants to find a way to help, and we believe the best way to help is to support out local business community," said Board Chair Susan Guess.
TVA, a corporation owned by the U.S. government, provides electricity for utility and business customers in most of Tennessee and parts of Alabama, Mississippi, Kentucky, Georgia, North Carolina and Virginia – an area of 80,000 square miles with a population of 9 million.
