In addition to a great Tennessee "town square", Gallatin boasts some of middle Tennessee's finest preserved homes and sites from the late 1700-early 1800 period- A few miles east on Hwy 25, you'll find Cragfont The Grandeur of the Frontier (615) 452-7070; Wynnewood, Tennessee's largest 18th century log structure (615) 452-5463, and Fort Bledsoe Historic Park- In town, don't miss Trousdale Place, historic home of former Tennessee Governor William Trousdale (615) 452-5648; the Sumner County Museum (615) 451-3736, and the Palace Theater, Tennessee's oldest silent movie house, still in its original location.

  • On Hwy 100 East about 5 blocks from Old 31E, look for the Tabernacle, the seat of early revivals and gospel singing held in Allen County since 1897- Scottsville is the home of the Kentucky Stale Singing Convention held in October each year. The Tabernacle is open to all denominations for religious purposes only.
