West Kentucky Wildlife Management Areas

This part of the site is designed to showcase the efforts of the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources in conserving areas where the state's natural resources can remain exactly that…natural. More than one-third of the areas were bought with dollars from hunting and fishing license sales, and funding from the same sources support wildlife management programs on over 70 percent of these areas. Kentucky's Wildlife Management areas offer diverse opportunities for natural experiences besides just hunting and fishing, though. These include activities such as birding, biking, hiking, camping, and canoeing.
