Summer Festival Riverfront Concerts

Summer Festival Riverfront Concerts, Paducah, KY

Live concerts held nightly on the Riverfront during Summer Festival. Since the West Kentucky area has the greatest concentration of major navigable rivers in the world, and since Paducah is located at the junction of the Ohio and Tennessee Rivers, activity on the riverfront and river oriented activity was a logical choice for the '67 celebration. Such activities are still the backbone of the Summer Festival.

Summer vacations are now served family-style! When it's time to relax, re-wind and reconnect with family, nothing brings the family together like an old-fashioned vacation. To make things even more exciting, the downtown area is used for the "Taste of Paducah" - summer music and cultural festivals. The Kentucky Tourism Council has selected the Paducah Summer Festival as one of the Commonwealth's summer "Top Ten" events in the year 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2005.

Experience the Four Rivers Region where you can enjoy all that Kentucky’s great outdoors have to offer. The city’s exciting riverfront is the site of steamboat dockings, fireworks, concerts and festivals throughout the year, including the sizzling Paducah Summer Festival. Ten-day festival with events including riverfront concerts by top name entertainment, hot air balloons, car shows, national and regional music acts, Big-Wheel races cross River Swim, Kidz Day, fabulous fireworks finale, lawnmower races, Marine Industry Days, various competitions, Kickball tournament and Corn hole tournament on the East and West Lawns, Budweiser Beer on the Bricks, laser tag, trackless train, games, inflatables and more. All of this plus great entertainment, food and games and awesome fireworks!

The Port of Paducah provides the setting for entertainment, family events and Wilson Stage, overlooking the Ohio River, provides the perfect setting for top-name entertainment. The riverfront is the music center of the festival. Nightly concerts are the norm with local and/or big name talent. Annual activities include tricycle races for children, chalk art and greased pole competitions, a photo competition, a youth triathlon, the Friends of the McCracken County Library book sale and Kids Day. Entertainment will be offered nightly on the riverfront. The concerts are free, but organizers request donations.
