Rough River WMA

3,695 acres in Breckinridge Co. and Grayson Co.

This area consists of portions of the Rough River Lake shoreline that are wooded with a few cleared fields. Deer, squirrel, rabbit, and quail can be seen here.

Camping, swimming, and overnight accommodations are available at Rough River Dam State Resort Park. Fishing and boating are available on the lake.

Access is by KY 737, 259, 108 and 79 and by boat. Rough terrain and high banks limit access to established areas. AREAS SURROUNDING PUBLIC LANDS ARE HEAVILY DEVELOPED; CARE SHOULD BE USED BY HUNTERS. Owned by U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

    L. B. Davison WMA has a hilly terrain with some steep cliffs. It is almost completely forested, much in virgin hardwoods. Squirrel, rabbit, deer, quail are found here. Primitive camping is allowed. Fishing and boating are available in bordering Rough River. The area around the homesite is a wildlife refuge and no hunting is allowed.

    The Dale Hollow WMA includes the rolling creek bottoms and steep ridges along the shoreline of Dale Hollow Lake, which twists and turns through the Cumberland foothills.
