Krafty Ideas - Padded Picture Frame

by AboutPaducah.com Editors (November 14, 2000)

Krafty Ideas #2 - Padded Picture Frame

Materials:

  • Material
  • Cardboard
  • Aileen’s Tacky Glue
  • Fiberfill
Tools:

  • X-ACTO Knife (optional)
  • Scissors
  • Ruler
  • Clothes pins

  1. Cut 2 pieces of cardboard the same size.
  2. Cut out the center of one piece the size of photo you will be framing. Allow about 2 or 3 inches larger than photo for frame area. (You may use an X-ACTO knife to cut out center.)
  3. Cut material larger than frame.
  4. Cut the center like an “X” from material.
  5. Glue Fiberfill around cardboard frame. Dry for about an hour.
  6. Place material over the Fiberfill. Glue the center pieces of material to cardboard. (Now the center will be open.)
  7. Glue the outer pieces of material to cardboard. (Use cloths pins to hold while drying.)
  8. Glue a matching piece of material on the other piece of cardboard. (Or glue a photo in the center.)
  9. Glue the back on the front.

Idea!

Add some matching Homemade Ribbon on the bottom.

Enjoy!
