Forest of Illusions 2000

Forest of Illusions 2000

Halloween is once again upon us. This time of the year brings some of the best entertainment. I love a good Haunted House or Forest, and I had the chance to visit the longest consecutively running program around. The Forest of Illusions will open Friday October 20th, and I have to say it is going to be bigger than ever this year. The guys at the Cunningham Fire Dept. let me get a sneak peak at this years blood and gore. The Forest of Illusions is put together by volunteers in the community with proceeds going to the Cunningham Fire Dept.

This program started six years ago to give the children from around the area something safe to do on Halloween. Over 10,000 people have visited this site set spread out over 3 acres of land donated by Veterans Foreign War Park. Everything in the park is handmade by volunteers starting on the project in early spring.

With a total of 75 volunteers and cast members, Forest of Illusions takes one through a long, twisted maze of blood and horror. One can see Jason, The "Scream" guy, and many others that are guaranteed to scare the daylights out of whoever dares cross their path.

The Forest of Illusions is located in Cunningham, KY next to the Dogwood Hills Golf Club. Admission is only $5.00 You can bet that I will be there this year. Just look for the one cowering in the corner looking for his Mom....... :-)

Dates of operation:

October 20-21
October 27-28
October 31
