Official D.A.D. Dates & HOURS:
Saturday evenings, from May through September, HOURS: 7 to 10 p.m.
For fifteen year's Paducah residents have gathered in the historic downtown on Saturday nights for an evening of dinner, live musical entertainment, dancing on the streets and shopping in local boutiques and shops.
As with most events that last fifteen years it is difficult to maintain the level of energy that the first few years of an exciting event bring to a community. This past May a group of dedicated Paducah Renaissance Alliance volunteers decided it was time to bring new life to the event and took the reins on planning this year's Downtown after Dinner.
A new line up of quality entertainment will be at this year's event including some new faces and other more familiar performers. The Paducah Symphony Orchestra will host an outdoor POPS concert with Terry Mike Jeffries at the riverfront on Wilson Stage this Saturday night. Area jazz bands, including musicians from local middle school and high schools, and a wide range of other local musical talent will be showcased as well. An old favorite, the antique car and motorcycle show, will also be on display this year.
Downtown after Dinner is an event that encourages local residents to enjoy Paducah's local flavor at a variety of downtown restaurants including Toucan's Restaurant and Bar, Tribeca Mexican Grill, Cynthia's Ristorante, Doe's Eat Place and the new Martin Fierro Rodizio and Argentinean Grill.
