More than 15 tons of chicken and pork is smoked, grilled, and barbecued at this community charitable event. Live blues entertainment, arts & crafts, and sidewalk sales. Also, Marine Industry Days and children's events on the riverfront. An annual event in which local volunteers donate proceeds of barbecue sales to charities and non-profit organizations of their choice. Regional media personalities compete to become the Grand Champion in the Media Cook-Off Tournament!

Raising funds for local charities; it's serious fun on Paducah's riverfront today as backyard cookers and professional competitors challenge each other in four categories: chicken, pork shoulder, whole hog and pork ribs. They have to enter all four categories to win the coveted Grand Champion title. Free live music, booth shopping, and a variety of activities, including a race, towboat tour and line tossing contest, keep folks coming back the three days. Games, pig calling and chicken clucking contests make this a unique event that's fun for the whole family.

Come join in Paducah, KY for three great days of BBQ Bliss as 50 plus BBQ teams from Western Kentucky and beyond cook up over 60 tons of meat in hopes of taking home the coveted Grand Champions trophy. Along with the smell of smoked chicken and pork hovering over the camps, the music befits the scene as hot blues, bluegrass, jazz and classic roack fill the air. It’s like coming home to a big family reunion, no matter where you are from. Amateur and down-home chefs find themselves competing against restaurateurs and professionals who want to prove that their barbecue is the BEST! A number of contestants have developed spin-off careers with barbecue related products…cookbooks, sauces, grill, smokers and more. Get your appetites ready.   • Holiday Parade in downtown Paducah sponsored by Parks Services Department. Parade begins at 14th and Broadway and disbands at 2nd and Broadway. Evening parade with floats, bands and of course, Santa.

    River City Mardi Gras:
    Held late February. A weekend celebration featuring a parade, children's activities, music and masquerade ball.

  • Easter Seal Benefit entertainment and information show, with 15 continuous hours of live music with features, client interviews, including national and local musicians, performers and actors.

  • The mission of the nonprofit volunteer organization Charity League, Inc., includes raising funds for Easter Seals West Kentucky and assisting other local nonprofits for the care of children, women and others in need. Charity League of Paducah was organized in March 1932 with 16 members for the purpose of starting a lending library.
