400 Miles of Antiques, Collectibles & Stuff - Sale

Galleries, studios and shops of Lower Town will be participating in this special promotion including twenty four counties and more than sixty communities along a the four hundred mile historic route of highway 68/80, from Paducah to Maysville for a "Shop till you Drop" Experience! The "Antiques, Collectibles and Stuff" four-day sale across Kentucky goes east to west along historic highway 68/80 from Paducah and Columbus-Belmont to Maysville.

Travel Hwy 68-80 through Kentucky for four great days of shopping, eating and just being entertained. The Hwy 68/80 Heritage Corridor Initiative has been started across the state of Kentucky. This wonderful highway goes from Aurora, near Land Between the Lakes, to Edmonton - known for the musical group Kentucky Headhunters. The road then splits heading (in the West) to Paducah and Arlington and (in the East) to Pikeville and Maysville.

400 Mile Sale across Kentucky from Washington, (the south end of Maysville), located on US 68 which also shares the Antique Yard Sale Trail, 4 miles from the banks of the Ohio River and only one mile from Route 9, the AA Highway - all the way to Paducah and back again! A gentleman from Richmond, Ohio, came into one of the shops in Washington during the 2009 event and showed the owner a 14k gold pin he had purchased for $1 among other gold jewelry he had found at bargain prices.

The Washington Shopkeepers are inviting all residents and businesses to participate by having Yard Sales that weekend the whole one and one-half miles all along Old Main Street and to ask their family, friends and neighbors to bring their items to the resident’s yards for a joint sale.

Not only are there over 400 antique shops along this route, there will be hundreds of dealers and booths set up all along the way with everything you can imagine (and even things you can’t). Hundreds of yard sales will be setting up all along the route and many of the antique shops and other unique businesses will be opening early and having side walk sales and store wide discounts. Visit nearly 60 historic communities, enjoying Kentucky cuisine, unique dining experiences and southern hospitality at every stop. Come taste our grits, cornbread, hot browns, biscuits and ham, sweet ice tea, and hot apple pies as you “shop til you drop”.

Over 100 antique shops are located along this route with special booths opening up all along the way featuring more antiques, crafts, novelties and STUFF!

  • Shaker cuisine, Amish home cooking, Kentucky barbecue, Country buffets and other dining pleasures will be located all along the route.
